Finally. After months of repairs (mostly generator and tires), Tinkerbell is seaworthy and we hit the road this morning! While repairs caused us to cancel our initial maiden voyage (to MN, ND, MT, and OR), we were tickled pink to be able to snag a last-minute, 10-day reservation in Coronado Island on the Silver Strand Beach! One of our happiest places on Earth to camp!
Next blog will feature the campsite 🙂
This one is the trip over from Tucson to San Diego. Happy to say: completely uneventful. Smooth. No issues whatsoever. Yay!
For lunch we had our Grandson Quinn’s (and Grandma Linda’s) favorite sandwich: a fluffer nutter! Which is peanut butter and marshmallow cream on white bread with nacho cheese Doritos! We had to pick just the right entree to warrant our dessert: ever since our first road trip, more than 22 years ago, we have had a Hostess Snowball as a fun, sweet, completely unexplainable way to kick off the first leg of every road trip. The tradition continues. And we’ve introduced it to many of our road-tripping friends!
