Almost every day I take a walk.
When we’re home, I take Ziggy on a long (usually a couple of hours) walk down winding sidewalks through the quiet town of Oro Valley.

Austin isn’t one for long walks. He’s a highly sensitive fellow: loud noises and rushing vehicles startle him and upset his delicate constitution.
And Frankie… well, Frankie hasn’t quite learned leash etiquette yet.

Ziggy doesn’t particularly like leashes either. And he certainly doesn’t like his Gentle Leader…

Butt, Ziggy tolerates the “nose harness” because he “nose” it’s his ticket to the great outdoors.

I call our daily pilgrimages “ZiggyWalks.”
One of my favorite SchoolHouse Rock episodes was about nouns: A noun’s a special kind of word It’s any name you ever heard I find it quite interesting A noun’s a person, place, or thing

Every day we go for a ZiggyWalk.
ZiggyWalk is a noun.
ZiggyWalk is also a verb.
You see, ZiggyWalk is an actual way of walking.
It’s an acquired walk in which one moves one’s tail – be it flat like mine or stubby like Ziggy’s – back and forth in synchronized rhythm with each step.
Left step… Tail goes right… Right step… Tail goes left…
And that, my friends, is how to ZiggyWalk.

It’s much easier than a waltz and probably a lot more fun to watch 😉
Which is how ZiggyWalk identifies as both a noun AND a verb.
Butt, let’s continue with pictures from our ZiggyWalks in Coronado Island.

After our long ZiggyWalks, we relaxed on the beach and slowly savored an adult beverage… on this particular day it was a delightful Kahlua and Cream on the rocks! Cheers!
