At Long Last: Graduation!

May 30, 2023

Yahooooooooo!! Our eldest grandson has graduated from high school!

Raegan and proud dad Toller sat next to us in the front-row (!) seats.

We attended graduation – it was a picture-perfect, temperature-perfect, no-bug-perfect evening 😊😊😊

Kaden was in row 19 of 24 graduating seniors… one of the downsides of having a last name that begins with “S” 😉

More than 400 students received their diplomas in the two-hour ceremony.

The excited graduate and his proud parents!

We are so proud of Kaden. At just 18 years old, he has already established himself as the go-to (paid positions) videographer and photographer for his school and his church.

Our grandson!!!!

His future goals center on videography, drone photography, and youth pastoring.

Quinn gives Kaden a lift while Harley and Raegan celebrate the graduate!

This year, he’ll be working (he’s already got two gigs lined up), saving up money for college, which he plans to start next fall.

The graduation was a beautiful, happy event: full of smiles, laughter, and positivity!

The whole gang! From left to right: Toller’s mother Faith, Toller, me, Jay, Kaden, Quinn, Raegan, Alicia, Alicia’s mother Deb, and Harley.

Before we packed up to leave the Spear Family Farm the next morning, Alicia and Raegan spent some time with Austin (and us) in Tink.

Austin could not get enough of the two women on either side of him. He was a big ‘ole luv sponge!

We said our sad goodbyes and hit the dusty trail back to the desert. Next stop: Kerrville, TX!
